Alexa Bliss Would Have Liked Being WWE Raw GM If Her In-Ring Career Ended

Alexa Bliss has a resume on the main roster matched by few, but it almost came to a screeching halt in 2018.

Bliss underwent a well-documented concussion issue that forced her out of the ring for several months. As revealed on a WWE Network feature, she almost hand to end her career. Fortunately, that wasn't the case, and Bliss was able to get back in action in January. So what'd she do with all the time off after being on the road with WWE so long? Alexa Bliss told Fightful.

"I bought a house," Bliss said, as highlighted in her WWE 365 special. "And I decorated a house and I did life things, you know what I mean? You don’t realize the stuff that you take for granted like picking out decorations for a house. Because you just don’t have time to do it. I got to spend time with my animals, which is nice, my family. It was a nice refresher. I needed that, even though it was unfortunate how I got the breather, I needed the breather and I felt like I was ready to come back re-inspired."

Bliss made a surprise announcement that she'd be returning earlier this year, and it seems like a good thing. As she outlined when speaking with us, she didn't really have a retirement plan in order. She did, however, hear the rumors that she could have been a General Manager, and feels she could fit into that role well.

"I don’t know (what I would have done). If I wouldn’t have been able to come back-- WWE’s been incredible in helping me with all my injuries and everything. They sought out the best medical team
for me and they were incredible by giving me A Moment of Bliss. So maybe more of that
route. Maybe General Manager. I like to boss people around so I think it would have been okay. I don’t know, but I’m very fortunate to be back in the ring and I’m happy with where I am now,"
Bliss told us.

For now, Bliss is involved in a top tag team with Nikki Cross, which has proven fruitful for both in the form of a WWE Women's Tag Team Title run.
