Alex Hammerstone Reflects On NOAH N-1 Experience, Hopes To Return To Japan

Alex Hammerstone has established himself as the face of Major League Wrestling over the years and is coming off an MLW World Heavyweight Title reign that lasted nearly 650 days.

Hammerstone started with MLW in 2019 and rose up the ranks as a member of The Dynasty alongside MJF & Richard Holliday. While putting a foot in the ground in MLW and making waves stateside in the company, Hammerstone traveled to Japan for a month to compete in Pro Wrestling NOAH's N-1 Victory Tournament.

Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & Joel Pearl on In The Weeds, Hammerstone reflected on the experience.

"That's a different experience for multiple reasons. Not only is it the style, you're almost held to a different caliber over there. The fact that it's a tour and wrestling night after night after night, you get on a bus, drive to a city, set up, warm up, wrestle, eat some food, get on the bus, drive to the next city, find a hotel, sleep a couple of hours, repeat. That lifestyle is a shock. It puts you in this warrior mode where wrestling is all you're doing. That's why I really enjoyed it. It was a time in my life that I hadn't had something like that and it forced me into that hermit warrior style, and it was nice to do that for a little while. The caliber of talent over there. Everybody is so good and they take it all so seriously. I love that. It really kind of change my style permanently, to a small degree, and even my outlook on wrestling. At this point, I'm ready to give it another go over there, get back over there at some point. It's a bit of a commitment because tours over there are lasting quite a bit of time and I have a lot of stuff here at home that I have to take care of. I'm ready to give it another go over there," he stated.

Hammerstone shared the ring with the likes of Naomichi Marufuji, Go Shiozaki, El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., Kaito Kiyomiya, and more during his tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH.
