Ashley Vox Would Love To Do NWA Work When They Return, Talks Nixed ROH Run

Ashley Vox seems like she has the attention of every televised promotion, and with good reason.

Next up, Vox takes on Becca at Limitless Wrestling's Double Vision on Friday, March 19. But last year before the pandemic, she was a regular part of the National Wrestling Alliance's revival. She told Fightful she loved the experience

"It was great because I got along with everyone. [It was the first time being a part of a whole new bringing back NWA.] It was big. It was like, ‘I’m a part of this. I can’t believe I’m a part of this.’ Seeing the studio set up and everyone, the locker room, the environment. Eddie Kingston, Tasha Steelz was my Airbnb roommate. We would do things together. Thunder Rosa, Allysin Kay. We’d all go out later, have a few drinks, eat and it was nice because no one had an ego there. No one thought highly of themselves over others. It was like we were all an NWA family. Which I miss a lot. I don’t know where they’re going or what they’re gonna to do. I haven’t heard anything. I really don’t know much on that," Vox said.

Vox has appeared for a variety of companies in the time since the pandemic started, but would be open to having another NWA run.

"Absolutely. If they come back, yeah. I’m down to be a part of it. I’m not under contract. So, any big place that asks me to come and work, I’m going to take that opportunity," Vox said of the NWA. "It was a good mix. It was good because we had Melina as a vet and Thunder Rosa whose been wrestling for years on the independents, but also has done Lucha Underground and other stuff. Then you have up and newcomers like Tasha and I. We have a couple years in, but we’re not that level high of years."

ROH was supposed to be Vox's destination until the pandemic hit, but that got nixed. However, she did work for them a couple of years prior

"Got good feedback. A couple things I needed to work on. You know, at that time, it was like, ‘You’re just learning as you’re going.’ A couple of things I needed to work on. Great environment again. Those girls were great to work with. I got to do their tryout where they opened up their new school. So, I did their first tryout there. Which was awesome. Got to wrestle Kelly (Klein). It was fun, you know? But, nothing in the works with them. Just another great experience there," Vox said. "I felt comfortable. I was excited that it was going to be with her because she’s so easy to talk to. So great. Actually it reminds me, too, like what you mentioned with the pandemic, I was actually gonna do a tournament for Ring of Honor right after Mania week and of course pandemic happened. So, there was gonna be something else for me with Ring of Honor, but COVID."

Vox did end up appearing in IMPACT Wrestling's Knockouts Tag Team Title tournament as a part of the Sea Stars. However, no further appearances are planned as of now.

"Nothing in the works right now. We’re just going with the flow. Delmi and I have always been known for going with the flow of things. If it happens, that’s awesome. If it doesn’t, just keep grinding. Keep going forward."

Ashley Vox is in action against Becca at Limitless Double Vision on Friday, March 19. You can stream the show exclusively on IWTV.
