Athena thanks fans for voting her as the 'Women's In-Ring Wrestler Of The Year' in the 2023 Fightful Awards.

Athena was able to beat out some major competition to win this award, as she prevailed over names such as Becky Lynch, Giulia, IYO SKY, Rhea Ripley, Utami, and Syuri Kondo.

'The Fallen Goddess' made a surprise appearance during the 2023 Fightful Awards ceremony and thanked fans for voting her in the category.

“Hello minions, it’s me, your forever ROH Champion, your minion overlord, your alpha, the fallen goddess — Athena. I am here to say thank you to all of you guys at Fightful for voting me best in-ring female wrestler. Here’s to 2024, more violence, more chaos, but most of all, more me.”

In 2022, Jamie Hayter took home the award for 'Women's In-Ring Wrestler Of The Year'. Hayter is currently out of action due to injury.
