Bray Wyatt was released by WWE on July 31, fueling confusion and speculation.
Wyatt hadn't been seen on WWE television in months, shortly following his WrestleMania loss to Randy Orton, which Fightful had been told was significantly changed in the days leading up to the event. Now, Fightful has gained some clarity on Wyatt's absence after unfounded rumors spread regarding the star's mental health.
Fightful has reached out to sources connected to Bray Wyatt and confirmed that his absence following WrestleMania had nothing to do with what were called "falsely reported mental health issues." Also, Bray Wyatt is 100 percent healthy and able to wrestle. During Bray Wyatt's absence from TV, Fightful learned that he was working on adding creative elements to his character, which was slated to return on tonight's Raw in Orlando. In addition to that, he had family engagements already scheduled for May and June.
Wyatt was cleared for a return to the ring and Fightful has learned there were tentative plans in order for Wyatt's WWE return before the release.
Wyatt, real name Windam Rotunda, posted the following moments before publication.
