Bryan Danielson: I Don't Get Nervous Anymore; After My First Retirement, Wrestling Has Been A Gift

Bryan Danielson reveals he no longer gets nervous before matches and likes to push himself as hard as possible.

Bryan Danielson's career will end at AEW All In on August 25 if he does not defeat Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship. However, Danielson has already had to retire once before, and ever since he was able to come back from that forced retirement in 2016, he says he simply looks at wrestling as a gift and no longer gets nervous before his matches.

Danielson explained this to Fightful's Shirleigh during the media scrum before AEW All In and said that he's simply looking forward to pushing himself once again, even if it all comes to an end in London.

"No, I don't get nervous anymore. No, no. I just enjoy, I just enjoy things. Once I was forced to retire before, when I came back, wrestling, it's just been this gift. So, even if it's the end on Sunday, I'm just gonna go out, and I'm gonna enjoy myself, and that's the thing. It's like I try to, every time I go out there, I try to push myself, and the thing that I think I'm most excited for is to push myself as hard as I can."

Danielson also revealed in the interview that he tried to throw in a little Easter egg to his prior retirement during the August 21 AEW Dynamite. However, he picked the wrong shirt. Learn more about that here.
