Clark Connors: Bullet Club Gold Is Phony Bullshit, Jay White Is Trying To Stay Relevant

Clark Connors comments on Bullet Club Gold.

Throughout the history of the Bullet Club, the faction has often hosted a number of sub-groups that have been littered throughout a number of promotions.

Currently, Bullet Club Gold is one of the top groups in all of All Elite Wrestling. The faction consists of Jay White, Juice Robinson, Austin & Colten Gunn.

In a exclusive interview with Fightful Select, Clark Connors ripped into White and Robinson, saying that they're doing everything they can to stay relevant in AEW.

"I think, that one in particular, is Jay White doing everything he can to stay relevant going over to a new company. Same with Juice. Doing whatever they can to stay in the spotlight, taking up those Gunn boys, doing whatever that is. I don’t watch a lot of it, to tell you the truth. I think it’s kind of phony bologna bullshit, to tell you the truth. The only real Bullet Club is the one that’s in New Japan and it’s helmed by David Finlay. That’s the reason for the Bullet Club, the idea of the Bullet Club is pissed off foreigners who wanted to take over and make a mark for themselves in Japan and that’s exactly what we, the War Dogs, are."

Connors went on to also criticize The Elite, noting that they were the people that ruined Bullet Club.

"It’s great that people want to keep using our branding, even the OC, they want to use our branding. That’s great, and good for them, but they’re not the real Bullet Club. The Elite, whatever they think of us, the Bullet Club in my opinion, truthfully, they ruined the Bullet Club. Those guys made it into something that was cool for a bunch of otaku nerds and gets them involved and gets them excited, but realistically, that’s not what the Bullet Club is. It’s not going home and playing video games after work, you know? It’s not being friends with all the Japanese audience after the fact. No, it’s going out and kicking ass, dude, doing what you want. I’m happy they’re not around because we got the real Bullet Club in New Japan, the War Dogs."

Connors then went on to shoot down the possibility of the Bullet Club groups coming together for one big group hug.

"No, not at all. No. I think it’s stupid. I think that’s the dumbest thing. That’s like asking NWO Wolfpac to go hug all the old guys, all the old boys. It doesn’t make any sense because, realistically, a lot of those guys are similar. They are friendly. The Elite guys, I see them being friends with some of the Jay White types. I can see them being friends with some of the old Bullet Club guys like G.O.D., like L.P, right? They’re kind of on that same wave length. But, I’m gonna be honest, the real ones like us, the War Dogs and I think if you really broke it down to Devitt and Anderson and Gallows, those early guys, they wouldn’t want to be a part of that. That’s not what’s cool. We might hang out. We might get beers. But we’re not gonna have a big group hug and love each other, ‘cause that’s not what we do, man."
