Clark Connors On The Good Brothers' WWE Return: There's Always A Chance They'll Do Something Wild

Clark Connors comments on the Good Brothers' WWE return and notes that there's always a chance the duo will do something wild.

Karl Anderson's status for the NJPW Battle Autumn event on November 5 has been up in the air in recent weeks. He is scheduled to defend the NEVER Openweight Championship against Hikuleo. However, following his return to WWE on the October 10 episode of WWE Raw, he was booked for the WWE Crown Jewel show on November 5. Anderson released a video and stated that he won't be coming to NJPW Battle Autumn, and the company released a statement in which it announced that he would be stripped of the title if he didn't compete as scheduled.

In a new interview with Sean Ross Sapp, Connors shared his thoughts on the Good Brothers' return to WWE and the subsequent uncertainty surrounding Anderson's status for the NJPW Battle Autumn event. He noted that, in his mind, there's always the chance that the Good Brothers are doing to do something "wild".

"Well I think that anytime you do business with the Good Brothers, there’s always a chance that they’re gonna be doing something wild like that. That’s just the part of the game," Connors said.

Sapp joked that he can't trust the Good Brothers because they play things close to the vest as they continue to make moves in the wrestling world. Connors expressed his agreement and pointed out that while Anderson and Gallows like to joke around, they're always making money somewhere. He stated that he'd like to see Hikuleo beat Anderson, but he admitted that the "Saudi money" the champion would get by competing at Crown Jewel is a factor.

"Exactly right, dude. It’s a truth so truthful that it doesn’t even make sense, for real. No, I get it, man. Those guys are truly—you know them probably better than I do—but, yeah, any time they come into a situation, they’re always goofing around, but they’re always making money somewhere. Personally I want to see him come back and get his ass whooped by Hikuleo ‘cause I think Hikuleo is ready to do that. So who knows what the case is going to be? We’ll see. But that Saudi money, though," Connors said.

Anderson recently stated that he won't vacate the title, and he'll defend on his time. More information is available here.

Connors will face Minoru Suzuki at NJPW Rumble on 44th Street on October 28. The event will air on FITE TV. Check out the updated card here.
