Colby Corino confirms that he is signed with NWA.

Corino, the son of the legendary Steve Corino, has been wrestling for NWA since June 2021, and he has worked for numerous promotions on the independent scene. In recent months, he has competed for H20, Deadlock Pro-Wrestling, GCW, and Black Label Pro, among others.

In a Fightful Select exclusive interview with Sean Ross Sapp, Corino was asked to describe how he landed in NWA in the first place. He described how the company did a taping for the "Circle Squared" show, and he faced George South there. While the COVID-19 pandemic derailed the plans for the program, he stated that he worked a set of NWA tapings in June 2021, and he has been with the company ever since.

"Before the pandemic, they were trying to shoot a show, 'The Circle Squared', I think it was, and I was one on of the first tapings of that, and I wrestled George South. They did a kind of weird thing where the fans picked who won after the match. We did the match, and then afterwards, it was like, ‘Do you want this guy to continue, or this guy to continue?’ I think I won that part, but because the pandemic happened, nothing ever came of it. But in June of 2021, they brought me back for a loop, and I’ve been there ever since," Corino said.

Corino continues to compete for the NWA, and he also remains active on the independent scene. When asked whether he's a free agent or if he is signed, he made it clear that he has been under contract with NWA since June 2021.

“Oh no, I’m signed with NWA. I’ve been under contract since June of 2021. Right after my first taping, they put me under [a deal]," he said.

Corino will challenge Davey Richards for the MLW National Openweight Championship at NWA Hard Times 3 on November 12. Check out the updated card here.
