Da VINKY?! Voros Twins Discuss Their Viral TikTok Hit

It's been a wild, unconventional year for many, but the Voros Twins have made the best of it.

They couldn't wrestle for several months, so what to they do? Make Tik Toks. The two spoke with Fightful about their viral hit "DA VINKI," which stemmed from the quesion "Who painted the Mona Lisa?"

Fightful: Do you all ever get heat from your TikTok videos or success?

Patrick: "No, I think people that know us, we are, I think, super nice."

Chris: "It’s weird, ‘cause when some of our videos blew up, I didn’t think we’d reach the wrestling community. I feel like it was so non-wrestling community, we’re like, ‘Okay, cool, we’re blowing up on this, but no one in wrestling. I don’t know if they’re on TikTok or anything.’ But, I don’t know, I think it definitely helps. We’re getting to the point where we can’t leave the house at all without anyone yelling."

Fightful: Are you all getting recognized in public for it?

Patrick: "All the time."

Chris: "In the mall."

Patrick: "We can’t, like, Christmas shop. We have to Christmas shop when the high schoolers are in school. I mean, that’s fine if people just say, ‘Hi,’ but sometimes they film us."

Chris: "Oh, if you guys don’t know, we made a video that said, ‘Who painted the Mona Lisa?’ We said, ‘Da Vinki?’ It blew up on Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. It was crazy."

Patrick: "I think it’s still insane."

Chris: "We became a meme. A meme! There’s some so good classic memes, and now we became one. It’s so funny. I think it’s ‘cause we look silly and our voices are silly. I think it’s not even the Da Vinki, it’s the ‘Mona Lisa. Yeah, yeah, yeah.’ I think that’s very underrated as well."

Patrick: "It even trended on like, Canada, UK and stuff. It’s just everywhere. They don’t even tag us."

Chris: "Yeah, we have to look for it. There’s some really cool ones. There’s some really weird ones. Where, like, our face on a cat, what’s going on?" It was a little overwhelming. Especially the first two weeks. Like, we made a cameo.

Patrick: "Our cameo blew up like crazy. We filmed over 300 cameos now, just saying, ‘Da Vinki.’"

Chris: "‘Da Vinki wishes you a happy birthday!’ But, our screen times on our phones, especially in the first two weeks was like twelve ours or something crazy. Nobody was tagging us, like people were reposting the meme. We had to capitalize and be like, ‘This is us! We’re the ones.’ I think without putting in that work, we’d have way less followers, likes and platforms."

Fightful: How do you all approach content creation?

Patrick: "Some people say quality over quantity. We’re all about quantity. We just make whatever and whatever hits hits."

Chris: "Well, I think, we’re pretty much building up this idea of two fine, silly, maybe not the brightest kind of twins. That’s kind of us in real life. I think that is just going to carry over to our wrestling personas.

Patrick: "We just realized we gotta do things our own way. So much wrestlers are just playing characters. We’re just going to be ourselves. Like, wrestlers don’t have TikTok, which gives us the reason to stand out and be different as well."
