Details On Changes To AEW All In, All Out, WrestleDream Cards

There have been some changes to the last few AEW PPvs

We’d mentioned that there were pitches or ideas for Paul Wight/Captain Insano, Matt Hardy and Grado (or Jeff Hardy if he could get into the UK) against Jeff Jarrett, Satnam Singh and Jay Lethal. Not only was Jeff Jarrett heavily pitching to get on the AEW All In show, we’re told he pitched the Grado elements that were also gaining steam online due to Tom Campbell. Jarrett himself has stated he also pitched for Dennis Rodman's involvement

Matt Hardy Weighs In On Ricky Starks' Contract Situation With AEW

We’ve reported that Bryan Danielson was a late replacement for CM Punk when he got cleared the week before AEW All Out in a strap match against Ricky Starks. A strap match had long been the plan, but the opponent was in question. Moxley and Orange Cassidy main eventing the show was also solidified in the week prior to AEW All Out.

Tony Khan himself noted that he found out the day before AEW All Out that Billie Starkz wasn’t cleared for AEW All Out and couldn’t compete against Athena. Instead the six-woman tag team match was booked.

The decision to make Saraya champion was a late one, based on those familiar with the situation. We can’t be certain how far ahead Tony Khan made the decision for the title switch, but those close to Saraya say she learned no further than a day prior.

Miro and Will Hobbs were not originally planned to appear on AEW All In. However, we’re told that Miro went to Tony Khan and passionately pled to be on the show, unhappy he wasn’t in any capacity. A compromise was made to have the contract signing element added.

As of early August, Anthony Ogogo did not seem sure that he was going to appear on AEW All In, and had not been clued in on any creative direction in quite a while.

Contrary to rumors, Jon Moxley's AEW WrestleDream opponent was not scheduled to be either Josh Barnett or Tom Lawlor. There were rumblings internally that it was another NJPW-contingent star who was actually there at the tapings.
