Dominic Garrini: The Hope Is VIF End Up In ROH And We Can Face FTR There

Know as Violence Is Forever, Dominic Garrini & Kevin Ku are arguably the top tag team on the independent scene.

At Beyond Wrestling Heavy Lies The Crown 2022, VIF called out FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler), challenging them to a bout to settle the score and prove who is on top of the tag team division in wrestling.

The bout has yet to come to fruition, but multiple promotions are interested in putting the match together. It's just going to come down to time and money according to Dominic Garrini.

"Kevin and I wrestled FinJuice [David Finlay & Juice Robinson], Tampa Mania (2021) at that weird bar for ACTION. That was originally penciled, they wanted it to be FTR against us. FTR, we had an intermediary that was working with FTR, and is was very close to happening. The rumor is, and I don't know how true or not this is and was, but FTR went to Tony to try to get approval for the match and Tony said, it was the night the Pinnacle started, and that's why it went down the way it went down. From there, Warrior has talked about making it happen, ACTION has talked about making it happen. Will from Prestige said if those guys hit him up, he would make it happen. He has a vested interest in making that happen. He's worked with Shawn Spears who is close to them. There's not really too much progress. Those guys are so busy right now with Collision, they're a tent pole of Collision. The hope would be that Ring of Honor and Collision tape the same day, so we if we were to end up in Ring of Honor, I'd hope that would be a thing. That's a match that a lot of people want to see, including Dax himself," Garrini said on The Spotlight With Jeremy Lambert & Stephen Jensen.

Garrini continued by saying, "It's all about when can it work, how can it work. Travel has become a nightmare for those guys, if they were to work an Indie because, can it happen on a Friday night? I know Tony is not cool with some guys work Friday nights. Those guys are Saturday guys, if they work Friday, is that show close to the Saturday show? Is it a Sunday? Can they get in on a Sunday, do we have a show that is willing to run a very expensive match on a Sunday? It all just matters on time, place, and money sense. If it were up to all parties involved, all parties involved want it. Maybe we'll have to go to TK's [Tony Khan] playground to make it happen if it can happen. It's going to take the right time, it's going to take the right money, it's also going to take Tony being willing to, if it doesn't happen under his banner, it will be him willing to let one of his most over acts take an outside booking, which is hard. When we talked with Dax in Nashville last year, he had said getting any approval from Tony for them to do stuff outside of AEW has been really rough for them. They had to beg to work Rock N Roll Express [Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson] is what he said. It makes sense. It's a crazy match, there are any number of variables that can go wrong in that match, but hopefully someone can make it happen or we get signed and it happens."

VIF previously worked the February 16, 2022 AEW Dark: Elevation tapings. FTR is the reigning AEW Tag Team Champions.
