Drew McIntyre Says 2K Knows Their Last Game Was Bad And Want To Make Good For WWE 2K22

Drew McIntyre talks about recording content for WWE 2K22 and says that the developers know that the last effort they put forth for a simulation game did not live up to expectations.

For the first time in over a decade, WWE has gone more than two years without releasing a simulation-based video game. WWE 2K20 was panned by critics for being bug-ridden and largely incomplete.

A large reason for this is the developer of the WWE video game series for the previous 20 years, Yuke’s, left the project, and the team at Visual Concepts was left to try and piece together a video game.

Now, WWE 2K22 is expected to Launch in early 2022 and 2K is promising the biggest WWE Games launch of all time.

Drew McIntyre recently spoke to Sean Ross Sapp about the upcoming video game and says he has been filming content for it including reading some lines and being scanned. McIntyre also says that 2K Games are trying to make sure that this release is absolutely perfect.

"It's been awesome and ongoing for a while. I've been filming some different stuff for it, filming some liners, doing the scans. There has really been a lot of effort into this game. I think the last one, how things turned out, they weren't great. They owned that and know that and are making sure this one is absolutely perfect. I can't wait to play because I know how hard they've been working on it and it's going to be friggin' awesome when it comes out. "
