Ethan Page Calls Signing With AEW 'The Biggest Relief Ever'; Details How It Happened

Ethan Page discusses how signing with AEW changed his life.

In January of this year, Ethan Page was still a wrestler in IMPACT Wrestling and even competed on pay-per-view against his own alter-ego, The Karate Man, in a cinematic match that would see him get his own heart ripped out.

Shortly thereafter, he joined AEW and has been featured in a top position since then wrestling names like Darby Allin, Sting, and now Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sean Ross Sapp, Ethan Page explains how quickly everything came together for him with AEW noting that it took less than a week for an agreement to be made to bring Ethan into the company.

"Not long after, honestly. Everything came together right after Christmas. Things were really signed, sealed, delivered, at the beginning of the year. Essentially, right when my deal with IMPACT was done. They had filmed so much that it bled over until January, so I knew I was going to end up there, I was just waiting for the visa to process and all that stuff. I'm not 100% sure if when we spoke [New Year's Eve or New Year's Day] I knew. It might have been two or three days after that when everything got locked in. It was essentially a waiting game for the right time to debut and the legal paperwork, the visa processing, and stuff like that. The visa they got is the same one Celine Dion and astronauts get."

Ethan Page would also say that signing with AEW was the biggest relief of his life as it provided peace of mind for his family and an air of certainty for at least the next few years of his career.

"It was not only the biggest relief ever, it changed my whole family. 'Oh, we don't have to stress or worry,' we knew what was going to happen for the next couple of years and that stress relief was one of the best things ever. It's another reason why I'll be eternally grateful for Matt Jackson and AEW."

Ethan Page will be featured on pay-per-view this Saturday at AEW Full Gear against Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle as he teams with Scorpio Sky, Dan Lambert, and American Top Team.
