Exclusive: Chris Jericho Working With MMA Trainer Ahead Of AEW Double Or Nothing

Chris Jericho is signed to All Elite Wrestling and set for a big rematch against Kenny Omega at Double or Nothing, but he's not just doing DDP Yoga to get ready.

Fightful's James Lynch spoke with Ultimate Fighter Season 1 alumni Josh Rafferty, who told us that he's actually been working with Jericho ahead of his AEW debut. In addition to that, Rafferty also helped the recently retired Batista prepare for his pro wrestling comeback.

"I just started Chris Jericho. He has a big match coming up, and I helped Dave Batista for his big match at WrestleMania. That stuff is always fun for me," Rafferty told Lynch.

Rafferty has worked with a ton of pro wrestlers, including Jack Swagger, Ivelisse, Sheamus, Samoa Joe and numerous others along the way. Rafferty actually opened a gym with Batista years ago after ending his own MMA career. With his influence felt in the style of many of those wrestlers, there are several that he think could translate well to a Bloodsport-style match that we've seen regain prominence.

"Samoa Joe or Jack Swagger would be great at that. Batista would kill it in that, he'd make for a very entertaining match," Rafferty said.
