Daga Challenges Pentagon Jr. To A Bowling Match

For years, we have seen pro wrestlers engage in sports challenges against each other throughout the years, from boxing to basketball and even sumo, but now Impact's Daga wants to add another chapter to wrestling's never-ending sports crossover potential and have a bowling match with Pentagon Jr.

The Impact Wrestling star and current Lucha Underground Trios champion spoke to Fightful and spoke about the recent Impact VIP Bowling Challenge, which was won by Pentagon for the second year in a row. Although Daga wasn't in the first bowling challenge and failed to win the second one, he's not exactly sure how is it that Pentagon is so good at bowling, but he may have a theory.

"It was the second bowling tournament Impact has done. I wasn’t in the first one and yeah, I don’t know if Pentagon has those hands trained for bowling by doing the Cero Miedo sign. He’s the two-time champion. It was a pleasure bowling with those fans and something that I very much enjoy doing, getting to meet them and hearing what they think about the wrestlers," Daga said.

While Pentagon may have held the top titles at both Impact and Lucha Underground, Daga is focusing squarely on Pentagon's two bowling championships won at Impact. So Daga decided to use the interview as an opportunity to issue a unique challenge to Pentagon. Daga's challenge is not a wrestling match, but it's one for the bowling alley.

"But for next time, I’m laying down the challenge here to Pentagon Jr. so we can have this bowling match and I’m feeling ready to challenge him for that title. That’s right! I’m laying down the challenge and now all we’re waiting is for Pentagon to answer and I’m waiting for Impact to do something about. Impact makes a lot of things possible and now they can make this bowling match happen," Daga said.

The full interview can be seen in the video at the top of the page in Spanish. English subtitles are included in the video.

Daga will compete at the "United We Stand" show where he will represent Team Lucha Underground alongside Aerostar, Drago and King Cuerno going up against Team Impact, consisting of Brian Cage, Moose and Eddie Edward. "United We Stand" will take place in Rahway, New Jersey on April 4. The full interview with Daga can be seen in the interview at the top of the page in Spanish. English subtitles can be viewed on the video.
