Exclusive: Fenix Praises Kenny Omega, Discusses Wrestling On TV

A guy like Fenix is down for whatever.

In the short history of AEW, very few have impressed in the ring like Fenix. His blend of technical ability and high risk offense is always sure to draw a reaction from the crowd. Fenix has been used mainly as a tag team wrestler, teaming with his brother Pentagon Jr to form the Lucha Bros, but he's been a singles standout elsewhere.

"I'll wrestle tag team or singles. I just like to wrestle," Fenix told Fightful at Starrcast.

At AAA Heroes Inmortales XIII in October, Fenix took on Kenny Omega in one of the best reviewed matches of the year. Despite losing, Fenix had high praise for Omega and the match saying, "It was great. Kenny Omega is incredible. One of the best in the world right now. I put the best I can do and it was a great match. A great experience to wrestle with him."

While many in AEW are new to wrestling on television, Fenix and Pentagon are two who have the experience, having wrestled in Lucha Underground and IMPACT Wrestling. On the difference between wrestling on television and live events, he noted, "It's different, but I worked for TV with Lucha Underground. So it's not too bad. I think every company has a different style because it's not the same people."

Along with working for AEW, Fenix is also signed to AAA Lucha Libre. He and Pentagon Jr will be part of Expo Lucha in Philadelphia in 2020.
