In unfortunate news, Fightful.com's Jimmy Van has learned that WWE Hall of Famer George "The Animal" Steele is now in Hospice care.
Steele's health has been declining in recent months, something he's spoken openly about on social media. We're told that his issues are kidney related, but details are few and far between at this point.
Last month, Steele posted an ominous song lyric to his Twitter account.
Steele would also post "Won't be long," and linked to a post on his website where he spoke in regards to complications from a surgery a year prior.
My world changed course December 15 2015. I flat lined as I was being put under for surgery. My ribs and chest were beat up as they worked to get my heart to start ticking. Four months followed this shut down in Hospital has changed my outlook on life. This experience has made my faith in JESUS CHRIST stronger. I pray that YOU learn the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST.
