Fenix Facing Visa Issues; Details Behind Recent AEW International Title Changes

The championship picture in AEW has been in disarray a little bit due to some injuries.

Jon Moxley was never originally slated to lose the AEW International Title to Rey Fenix, but was sidelined with an injury, and an audible was called mid-match during their September bout. However, there were tentative plans within All Elite Wrestling to get the title back on Jon Moxley for the October 10 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Update On Jeff Hardy's AEW Contract

Unfortunately, the day of the show, Jon Moxley was not cleared and was replaced by Orange Cassidy. Cassidy would go on to win the International Title. Although he wasn’t considered for it in the days or weeks prior, we’ve learned that likely whoever would have been booked against Rey Fenix likely would have won the title.

According to sources close to him, Fenix is facing visa issues that will have him out of action on AEW TV. We aren’t sure the length, but the decision was made to move the International Title that was never set to be on him in the first place.
