Gemma Jewels Talks Winning Her First Championship, Wanting To Wrestle In Texas, And More

Gemma Jewels reflects on her growth through her short time in wrestling and some goals she hopes to accomplish in the near future.

Gemma Jewels is a promising talent in professional wrestling. Beginning her training in 2018, she has competed in less than 100 matches in her career. Still, in that short span of time, she has had the opportunity to compete for championships and in AEW as part of the now-defunct AEW Dark program.

During a recent interview with Stephen Jensen for Fightful Select at a recent Deep South Wrestling show, Jewels reflected on winning a championship for Old School Wrestling, becoming their inaugural Women's Champion. She also spoke about places she would like to wrestle in, including her home state of Massachusetts.

"Well, my goal was to be, you know, a champion and win my first belt, and I was able to do that actually for Old School Wrestling. I was their first Women's Champion, still current. I won it in January, a week before my birthday, which was great, and I'm still feeling really good about it because they believed in me enough to do that and thought that I could really carry their brand and promote it well and it's it was a dream come true just like I imagined," she said. "Again, super exciting and surreal. I constantly keep growing and trying to find new places and new states [ to wrestle in], really. My bucket list, to wrestle in Texas. I want to do that. Maybe [travel] up north a little bit. I would love to go home to Massachusetts so we'll see."
