Jessie McKay reveals who exactly would be on her resume.

WWE eventually split Peyton Royce and Billie Kay as a tag team and made them solo acts. During this brief period of time between their solo careers and their eventual release from WWE, Billie Kay shined as a comedic character who carried around her headshot and resume.

Eventually, they wound up on the independent circuit, being released shortly after WrestleMania 37 on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Jessie McKay, speaking to Sean Ross Sapp at WrestleCade Revenge, credited their manager and some of their former WWE co-workers, like Natalya and Becky Lynch, with helping them get adjusted and stay motivated outside the walls of WWE.

“This is all brand new to us, being outside of WWE. We’ve been with them for six years, ever since we moved to America. So our manager really helped us. But he really helped us navigate through. People that we’ve reached out to were our closest friends with WWE. Like, we talk to Becky a lot. Nattie. Liv. People who said that they supported us and were there for us. Which was nice.”

Speaking about the infamous resume that she utilized in order to become Carmella's tag team partner in and what wound up being her final match as Billie Kay at WrestleMania 37, Jessie McKay revealed exactly who would be on her reference list and it features three heavy hitters including a former WWE World Champion who happens to be the highest-paid actor in all of Hollywood.

“I never even got to choose any of [the references on her resume]. [She'd choose] Cassie Lee, The Rock, and I’d say my mom.”

When Billie was told bad immediate family typically doesn't count, she had the most iconic and inspirational response possible.

“That’s true and to them, I’d say piss off,” Jess concluded.

A picture of the resume she was using on WWE television did eventually circulate on the internet after Natalya posted a picture of the resume on Twitter. Learn more here.
