Oliver is one of the top names on the independent scene and Wayne is signed to AEW. They are currently the GCW Tag Team Champions, and Oliver is hoping their performance at All Star Junior Festival leads to more NJPW appearances.

"Me and Nick Wayne, in my opinion, we're an insane tag team. The East West Express is an insane tag team. We've only been tagging for one year and we work like a well-oiled machine. I know everything about him, he knows everything about me. We move the same. Me and Nick Wayne have been grinding. One of our first tag tours was in Japan, maybe three months into our tag run, and we did only tag matches in Japan. I like to think that helped some. El Desperado was at a lot of GCW shows in Japan as well. I'm hoping he saw us there. We talked to him a little bit and just made the move here. I'm just fired up. This is my dream in professional wrestling, my number goal is to wrestle for New Japan. I'm hoping this match leads to more matches and to the IWGP Junior Tag Team Titles," said Wayne.

The IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Titles are currently held by Bullet Club War Dogs (Drilla Moloney and Clark Connors).
