At NXT Spring Breakin 2022, MTV Challenge Godfather Mark Long appeared alongside Grayson Waller for his NXT Title bout Nathan Frazier.
One year later, Waller is going for the NXT Title against Carmelo Hayes at NXT Spring Breakin 2023.
However, The Challenge Godfather won't be by his side. So we thought.
"If I'm being honest, it would be awesome. It would be great. Not to quote The Miz, but it would be awesome. I will not be at Spring Breakin this year," Long told Jeremy Lambert, SP3, & Cher Delaware on FMC.
Long later followed up on Monday morning and said he would be at NXT Spring Breakin to support Waller.
In the interview, he continued and praised Waller's work, "You never know, the draft is coming up. Maybe Grayson gets drafted somewhere else. I don't know, he'll never tell me. I keep telling him, 'there is no other place for you to go after that match,' especially if he loses, than the WWE (main roster). He's such a big star now, he does carry a lot of that NXT weight. He's such a huge personality on the microphone. Whenever he makes his way up to the [main roster], which will be sooner than later, I hope, they're going to have to fill that void. He is such a great heel. I've talked to him privately and he goes, 'I fucking hate when they cheer me. I hate it. If they're holding a Grayson Waller sign, I'm going to rip it half. I want to be a heel all the time.'"
Long mentioned how Grayson will stay in-character even when he's out in public.
Along with appearing multiple times on WWE television, Long has stepped into the ring himself and will return to the ring on May 7 to face Matt Cardona.
