Matt Cardona and Steph De Lander accept the Fightful award for 'Best Independent Act Of The Year'.
The duo of Cardona and De Lander were able to beat out other acts such as BUSSY (Effy & Allie Katch), Jordan Oliver, Bryan Keith, and Alec Price to win the award.
During the 2023 Fightful Awards Show, Cardona and De Lander stopped by and bragged about their big win. Cardona even had extra bragging power, as he took home the award for the second year in a row.
Matt Cardona: “This is the Indy god Matt Cardona.”
Steph De Lander: “I am the Indy goddess Steph De Lander.”
Matt Cardona: “You’re looking at the winners of the best Independent Act Of The Year [laughs], who else was it gonna be? This is actually my second year in a row winning and there’s no way anyone is gonna top us next year. Not Effy, not Nemeth, Ali, your boyfriend Mance Warner, nobody is gonna beat us because we are the Indy god and Indy goddess until we fucking die.”
