Now, while he is still taking bumps, he is also transitioning into the world of podcasting. Every week, The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy takes a deep dive look at any given event or timeframe in Matt Hardy's career.

Speaking with Sean Ross Sapp, Matt Hardy spoke about using podcasting as a way to transition beyond and just taking bumps, and into a new era in his career where he can reflect on the better times in his career.

“I think I’m in a transitional period in my career,” Hardy began. “Obviously this year it’ll be thirty years I’ve been taking bumps and my bump card is pretty full. I should probably have multiple bump cards that are pretty full. So it is time, I feel, to transition into a new area. Something I can do later when I can’t take bumps. So I feel like this is a good time. I’m almost like a modern guy who’s still in the midst of it, in a main company on a major platform, and I can still revisit the past and talk about the present.”

Discussing the topics that he picks for his shows, Matt Hardy says he is spoiled for Choice as almost anything he's done in his career can be looked at as a deep dive.

“I think most anything I’ve done in my career you can go into depth on it. I’ve always enjoyed whenever you hear stories from a famous singer or a favorite actor, there’s always so many behind-the-scenes deals that are so surprising and unique and different, and you just don’t know the circumstances that surround everything. I love being able to disclose those things and tell people the stories because a lot of them are really funny. Even the Final Deletion where we literally sent it into the office, to our bosses, at the very last second so they couldn’t stop it from airing on TV,” he said.
