Matt Hardy: The Hardys Are Still Motivated, But We'd Like To Bookend Our Careers In A Similar Fashion To Sting

The Hardys are still going hard.

At TNA Bound For Glory, The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) captured the TNA Tag Team Championships in a Full Metal Mayhem match. With this reign, both Matt and Jeff proved that retirement isn't on their minds, despite their age and history in the business.

CMLL Lunes Clásico (12/9/2024) Results: Místico, Atlantis Jr., Hechicero, Rocky Romero, More Set

As a matter of fact, Jeff Hardy himself is the type of guy that plans on going until the wheels fall off.

“I'm totally the type of guy to [go] until the wheels fall off, man. I'm just gonna go as hard as I can.” Jeff Hardy said while speaking to Fightful for a new interview.

Matt Hardy continued on to say that both he and Jeff are still motivated at this point in their careers. Hardy also said that they would like to bookend their career in a similar way that Sting was able to.

“I think we're both pretty motivated, we’re passionate about this. We love it, we enjoy it. But I do think I would like to bookend our career and whatever we do in some scenario, much like Sting's. I think Sting's retirement match is the best booking that Tony Khan has done overall. I thought it was pitch perfect. I thought he nailed it. Sting is someone who was very deserving of that. Sting is someone who still inspires both myself and Jeff at this stage of the game. So to see him go out in that pitch perfect way, I thought was well deserved, well earned, and I'm very happy, a win like that. It was a storybook ending."
