There's been a bit of a shakeup at TNA Wrestling, and Fightful learned more.
Fightful confirmed that three employees were let go, confirming PWInsider's report that longtime producer David Sahadi was let go. We're told that he would be replaced.
In addition, Fightful confirmed that Lou D'Angeli was let go. D'Angeli was known as Lou E. Dangerously in ECW, and had served as VP of Marketing at Anthem Sports Group with TNA. He was also credited as being a primary reason why CM Punk was around TNA so much in recent years. A third departure was said to be in a similar department, and wouldn't be a name that many in wrestling know. However, their departures were said to be Anthem wanting to go in a new direction and get more effective in the live event markets.
Another departure was RD Evans, who actually left of his own volition. Evans' WWE departure lives in wrestling lore, as word has it that after Vince McMahon screamed at him, he said "I hope you learned something today" to Vince and walked out. Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp is told that an email went out thanking Evans and mentioning that he had given his notice.
The earlier report elsewhere indicated there were no events announced after early August, but we've confirmed a late August set of tapings as well.
