Myron Reed reflects on feuding with Lio Rush during his first run in MLW
Myron Reed made his return to MLW at MLW Azteca Lucha. It was Reed's first MLW appearance since 2023. Reed reflected on his first run with the company when speaking to Jeremy Lambert & SP3 on Fightful Overbooked's In The Weeds.
He views current AEW star Lio Rush as his favorite rival from that time in his promotion and says that working with someone better than him helped him grow as a performer. He also reflected on the early opportunities to travel to different parts of the world to ply his trade.
"Lio was probably my favorite rival. Working with someone that was better than me at the time and I was able to grow and become the wrestler that I am today. It really helped me build those blocks to get to where I am right now. The middleweight division, just being in there with different guys, being able to travel to Mexico and different places in the United States, and wrestle in front of different people. That was a big thing for me. Now, I’ve done that, and it’s time to show these people I’m a star."
He now hopes to return to Mexico and wrestle for CMLL. Learn more about that here.
Elsewhere in the interview, he spoke about his decision to return to Major League Wrestling. Read more here.
