NXT Taping Notes And Analysis From Sean Ross Sapp!

While in Orlando, I was fortunate enough to take in a rather good set of NXT tapings. We have our full spoilers up at this link, but I wanted to pass along several notes. I'll have some exclusive videos up next week.

- Michael Hayes and Canyon Ceman were both at the tapings, with the latter sitting in the audience to watch the show.

Mercedes Mone To Speak On 4/17 AEW Dynamite

- TM61 is back. The time off was probably a blessing in disguise, they got a nice reaction, but I'm pretty sure it was a dark match.

- Lars Sullivan looks like a giant Oney Lorcan.

- Sanity's entrance is a blast in person. Really underrated and has to be seen live to be appreciated.

- Kassius Ohno vs. Fabian Archer was outstanding. Archer took one of the sickest falls off of a botch I've ever seen. He tried to leap to the top rope, and fell all the way out onto his face. He got back up, did it again later and got a big pop. His reaction when he left was really great considering he got crickets when he came out. hey had a great match.

- Velveteen Dream has developed one hell of an elbow drop. He is totally committed to that character.

- Something to keep your eye on is the reaction the crowd gave the first series in Velveteen Dream vs. Lio Rush. Rush can be the Rey Mysterio WWE has needed and wanted.

- Peyton Royce has one of the greatest fisherman's suplexes of all time. If I were in a zombie apocalypse and the only thing that led me to a safe island was Peyton Royce doing a bridge, I'd like my chances in making it over.

- Street Profits were over huge. No, they're nothing like Cryme Tyme. Re-evaulate yourself if you make that comparison.

- McIntyre/Strong and Almas/Gargano were incredible. Almas vs. Gargano was better than their Takeover match.

- Daria has drastically improved since I saw her in June, especially with her mannerisms. Same with Aliyah.

- Ember Moon hit one of her best Eclipses of all-time.

- Taynara Conti had some sort of affiliation with Undisputed Era.

- 210 minutes in is NOT the time for a Cezar Bononi match. Bad move.

- Authors of Pain returned at the tapings to a big reaction. There was no Hideo Itami, No Way Jose, UK guys, or any debutants from the MYC besides Kairi Sane and Taynara Conti. Vanessa Borne was there too, but had wrestled before.
