Raquel Gonzalez Likes The Changes NXT 2.0 Brings, Tries To Take Things Day By Day

Raquel Gonzalez says change is good.

Raquel Gonzalez is one of the last Superstars to make her ascension to stardom during NXT’s black and gold era. As such, she is one of the few individuals with any prior built-in star power on the present-day NXT 2.0.

The Elite: We're Getting AEW Back To What It Was Supposed To Be

With the current format of NXT being such a drastic change from the one that she made her name in, some would question whether Raquel had an easy time adjusting to the change and if she would prefer the black and gold brand over the colorful NXT 2.0.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sean Ross Sapp, Raquel said that she tries her best to take everything with NXT 2.0 day by day but does say that she feels inspired by the changes and enjoys having some new talent to work with.

"We try to take it day by day with everything. What I try to do personally is show up every day. Show up, put in my work, and show everyone my passion and why I belong here, and why I dominate in this specific environment. I do feel like the new changes and everything that's been happening with NXT 2.0 has been good. Change is good. It's good to mix it up a little and get some fresh blood in there and have these new faces. Sometimes, we get stuck doing the same thing so having this little mix and more color and brighter and new people is good for all of us. It pushes us a little bit more and makes us want it more."

Raquel Gonzalez looks to bring a little bit of the NXT of old into NXT 2.0 with the upcoming WarGames match on December 5, 2021. Fightful will have live coverage of the event as it airs on Peacock in the United States and on the WWE Network internationally.
