Russo: About 90 Minutes Into Raw, I Hit The Kush Again

I made a vow to myself that I was going to go into reviewing this week's edition of RAW with a wide-open mind, and that's exactly what I did. Since the brand split I have been a fan of SmackDown, not so much RAW, so I wanted to assure that I called it right down the middle this week. As a total shoot, about 1:30 in I hit the Bubba Kush again. I just couldn't get through this show without the help of something, anything that was going to stimulate my brain cells.

• Always a fan of starting the show with Big Cass and Enzo, but this promo went absolutely nowhere. The verbal sparring between the four was totally dumbed down, but I guess this particular segment was directed towards the kiddies---the Bert and Ernie reference might have been a clue. We'll see if they stay true to that direction as the show progresses.
• Just really lazy booking. Owens has Jericho's back simply because they're both Canadian, and the HUGE SummerSlam match booked out of a DQ. Come on, man, just an ounce of creative thought--that's all I ask.
• Why would you give a jobber mic time? Why? Have three weeks of squash matches gotten Braun Strowman and more over? If you said  yes, you're lying. He should be destroying the guys he's destroying.
• When I talk about NO HEAT, I mean when New Day gets annihilated last week and come back the following week eating cereal with Puff Daddy. That is the meaning of NO HEAT.
• Titus/Darren Young again- 'nuff said. Reverse last week's booking. BRILLIANT!
• Rollins promo--good emotion, but cookie-cutter promo we've heard 100% before. Again, Rollins is a wrestler, not a writer, so don't hold him responsible. Ask yourself the question, did this promo help further the story with Balor, or make you want to see the match anymore? If you said yes, you are again lying.
• Sheamus vs. Cesaro. I just don't know of any other job that requires less effort than writing RAW. But, as long as you continue to watch it . . . nothing will ever change.
• Sorry, guys, I just hit the Bubba Kush
• Orton/Lesnar history package best thing on the show so far. Enjoyed the old OVW footage.
• Match made on pre-show between Dudleys/Neville for no reason at all. Vince McMahon should be ashamed of himself, this is God awful. The announcers didn't even care that Sin Cara was Neville's partner.
• Lana's GAMS the highlight of the show!
• Sasha's song is catchy. There's your positive.
• Like that there are stakes on the Sasha/Dana Brooke match. Unfortunately the stakes make no sense.
• Good explanation by Finn Baylor on his character.
• Dr. Gallows/Dr. Anderson was creative and entertaining.
• Go to see The Club on a little run. Would have liked to see a little more heat put on them after match.
• Why is Scooby segment on at 10:45?
• Don't even know who, what, where, when, why, and how Rusev vs. Cesaro came from. Man, the words in Green Eggs and Ham make more sense than a RAW script.
• Rusev over Cesaro in the FINAL match--no, I'm not going to put it over as the Main Event. Vince's forced Reigns pop is fitting ending. 3:15 minutes of my life I'll never get back.
