Seth Rollins is happy to be guarenteed a slot on WrestleMania 40.
Seth Rollins is the current World Heavyweight Champion, a championship he has held since Night Of Champions 2023, where he would become the inaugral champion. Being a world champion is nothing new for Rollins, but this world title reign will be the first of his career where he will be a defending champion at WrestleMania.
While speaking to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff last week, Rollins would discuss not knowing who he will be facing at WrestleMania, noting that he is just happy to be the prize this year.
"That’s the case, but that’s the ride. I’m just happy to be the prize this year. I’ve been in a lot of situations where I didn’t know what I was going to do at a WrestleMania card, didn’t even know if I was going to be on the WrestleMania card. I’m happy to be in the positon now where, as World Heavyweight Champion, I’ll be healthy, I’ll be ready, and there are a million dudes on Raw and SmackDown who are ready and capable and we’re ready to put on a banger at WrestleMania." he said.
It was announced on the February 9th edition of Friday Night SmackDown that Rollins will face the winner of an Elimination Chamber match at WrestleMania 40. You can read more here.
Elsewhere in the same interview with Fightful, Rollins discussed his WWE deal coming up this year. You can read more about that here.
