Sheamus And Tommaso Ciampa Said To Be Fine After Rough Spot On WWE SmackDown

A scary spot on WWE SmackDown doesn't end as bad as it looked.

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reports that both Sheamus and Tommaso Ciampa are said to be okay after a rough looking sunset bomb during their tag team bout on SmackDown. Sapp specified that's at least according to how both were reacting immediately upon coming backstage after their match.

Ciampa tried to flip over Sheamus and come down into a powerbomb from the top, but didn't get his feet under him before Sheamus came crashing down onto the left knee of Ciampa. The referee threw up the "X" to signify an injury to Ciampa. Ciampa wears a knee brace on both knees, but it was the right knee that underwent ACL surgery in 2017. Sheamus has admittedly battled stenosis in his career.

You can view video of the spot in the tweet below.

Both men would go on to finish up the match. Ciampa, teaming with Johnny Gargano, picked up the victory over the duo of Sheamus and Cesaro.
