Shelton Benjamin On Charlie Haas' Return To Wrestling: 'I Love It. That's My Brother.'

Shelton Benjamin talks about his longtime partner returning to the wrestling ring.

Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin navigated much of the professional wrestling world while standing side-by-side. Both men made their WWE debuts as part of Team Angle at the tail-end of 2002 and would spend 2 years together before being split up in the WWE draft following WrestleMania 20.

They would reunite in 2007 and eventually when both men were away from WWE, they would continue to be a tag team in Ring of Honor and elsewhere.

In 2022, Charlie Haas made a return to professional wrestling through IMPACT Wrestling. Shelton, who is still in WWE, now it says he couldn't be happier for his friend.

Speaking to Sean Ross Sapp, Shelton called Charlie his brother and said that he was by his side for a lot of Charlie’s struggles in life and he's excited to see what Charlie does next.

"I love it. I love it. Charlie’s in the ring having fun. He’s making a lot of noise. Having been by his side with his more recent struggles and things like that, to see him where he is now and building on it, I couldn’t be happier for him. I couldn’t be happier for him," said Benjamin.

Regarding a potential reuniting in the ring for the former WWE Tag Team Champions, Shelton says that he would be more than happy to reunite if the opportunity comes.,

"I know he said he hopes one day we can tag together. Of course, if that opportunity comes, yeah. That’s my brother. He’s my favorite partner and he’s one of my best friends. So, yeah, obviously I love what Charlie’s doing right now," said Shelton.

Unfortunately, Charlie suffered an injury upon his return to the ring in IMPACT Wrestling. Learn more about that at this link.
