This week IMPACT Wrestling Stars head into the last IMPACT episode on AXS TV. Each star looking for an edge over the rest as they prepare for IMPACT's next IMPACT Plus Special - Homecoming. Homecoming is already promised to have bouts like no other IMPACT Plus Special thus far this year. Among the mystique is the King and Queen Tournament with both male and female IMPACT Wrestling Stars teaming up and joining forces to ultimately win and gain some huge bragging rights over the rest of the division.
Several IMPACT Wrestling Stars have already paired up and excitedly thrown their proverbial hats into the IMPACT ring. All teams having the same goal of winning, however, as we all know, there can only be one winning team. Several deciding factors will ultimately decide the fate of each and every team at Homecoming. Team chemistry together which includes their communication, adaptability, in ring positioning, and of course team strategies. Their own individual tag team experiences will also come into play piggybacking off of whether or not their communication skills and overall game plans are effective enough to outlast all other teams.
You also have to factor in their own familiarity with the other competitors. Things such as ongoing feuds, relationships, and overall in ring experience of veterans versus novices. Sometimes in Pro Wrestling you'll know your foe's next move better than your own as you anticipate and adapt. If you are a part of a tag team and your partner is also in this King and Queen Tournament, who else would know them better than you right? With just one episode of IMPACT separating them and Homecoming, it stands to reason that we'll see at least one more team formed who'll also want in on the King and Queen Tournament. Will it be Tenille and Kaleb? Who will be Brian Myers' mystery partner after Tenille's rejection? Perhaps Taylor Wilde? Or, maybe Alisha Edwards since Eddie Edwards will be in single competition against William Morrissey…?
Overall this tournament holds much promise and lots excitement for IMPACT Fans as it combines athletes who fall on every part of the Pro Wrestling spectrum. From X-Division competitors to Hardcore Legends. Former Knockouts Champions to second generation wrestlers to former WWE Superstars and everyone in between. You can expect anything and everything to happen in this tournament. Thus far, there are a handful of teams who have officially signed on for the King and Queen Tournament. Petey Williams and Jordynne Grace. Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green. Crazy Steve and Rosemary. Tommy Dreamer and Rachael Ellering and more.
