Titus O'Neil comments on Titus World Slide.
O'Neil signed with WWE in 2009, and he has enjoyed some success as an in-ring competitor. He is a former Tag Team Champion, and he will also go down in history as the inaugural WWE 24/7 Champion. O'Neil made history in a different way at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in 2018. The main event was a 50-man Royal Rumble, and O'Neil was involved in an unforgettable moment when he tripped and fell on his way to the ring. To this day, clips of the spot continue to circulate, especially during Royal Rumble season.
In an interview with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, O'Neil was asked about the "Titus World Slide" spot and whether he was tired of the way people keep bringing it up. He stated that he doesn't have anything to be embarrassed about, as he got paid plenty of money to fall down. O'Neil also made it clear that people can laugh, but he's proud to be a WWE Superstar who has the platform to help make a difference.
"No, I’m not. It’s one of those things that, in life, much like in a lot of stuff that happened in my life, I tell people all the time, I fell down and gotten back up so many times. I’m still alive and well to tell the story, and I’m an entertainer at the end of the day. So, I don’t really have anything to be embarrassed about. Got paid a lot of money to fall under the ring and survive. So, I’ve survived and now I’m in the WWE Hall of Fame as a Warrior Award recipient and a WWE Global Ambassador. For all those that wanna laugh, I’m still proud to be a WWE superstar and proud to be able to have this platform to do so many great things," O'Neil said.
O'Neil, a Global Ambassador of WWE, is renowned for his humanitarian work, and he received the 2020 Warrior Award.
In a previous interview, O'Neil stated that he wanted to be WWE's Shaquille O'Neal. Check out his comments here.
