Not so fast! Chad Gable isn't going anywhere yet.
A few months back, AEW's Dax Harwood fueled speculation that Chad Gable could be leaving WWE soon with a tweet that indicated his WWE contract was expiring soon.
However, Fightful Select was able to gain clarity on the situation:
There was heavy speculation this spring about the contract status of Chad Gable, after AEW's Dax Harwood tweeted that he'd be available roughly in May. Obviously, that period has come and come, but we're told that tweet was actually in jest, and Gable's contract with WWE still has plenty of time left on it. Gable is currently involved in a story where he's been "coaching" Otis and occasionally teaming with him. We have been told by several AEW wrestlers that if Gable became available they'd push heavily to get him in the company.
