Update On Sami Zayn's WWE Contract

It isn't much of an update, but an update nonetheless.

With news of Kevin Owens' WWE deal expiring in January 2022, we gained dozens of inquiries about the status of longtime friend and foe Sami Zayn.

There were posts incorrectly attributing Fightful as the source reporting that Zayn's deal was up in the Fall of 2021, as it was listed in our Contract Expirations form on the site. That actually came from an article interview with TVA Sports in April 2019, noting "Zayn had signed a three-year contract shortly before leaving for his operations, so with sick time so often added to the length of the contract, he still has about two and a half years left on his current deal."

In reaching out to WWE sources about Zayn's contract and the length of it, all we were told is "It's not up in the fall." Zayn has not commented on the matter as of yet, but Wrestling Observer claims it's up later this year.

We'll keep working to find out more information on his deal.
