Per TMZ Sports, sources indicated that the surgery was deemed a success. As of this writing, there is no word on the timeline for McMahon's recovery, and the specific nature of the surgery is unclear.

McMahon retired as WWE CEO in July 2022 amid a WWE Board investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct and hush money. Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon were named as Co-CEOs, and Triple H took over as the head of creative. Mr. McMahon returned to WWE in January 2023, and he was voted the Executive Chairman of the Board.

In April, WWE announced that the company reached an agreement with Endeavor, UFC's parent company. The deal will see WWE and UFC merge to form a new company. McMahon will serve as the executive chair of the new company. The merger is expected to be finalized later in 2023.
