Zoey Stark: Trish Was Focused On What She Was Doing, She Didn't Notice That She Hit Me With A Chair

Zoey Stark recalls one of the biggest matches of her career.

On the August 28 episode of WWE Raw, Zoey Stark faced Becky Lynch in a Falls Count Anywhere match. The bout, which headlined that episode of Raw, was praised by many fans, with some calling it one of the best matches of Stark's career.

During the match, Trish Stratus was throwing chairs in the ring, intending to help out Stark. Instead, Stratus hit accidentally hit Stark in the face with one of the chairs, which ended up being a moment that went viral online.

While speaking to Fightful for a new interview, Stark confirmed that the incident was planned and that Stratus didn't even realize what she did until after the match.

"You can’t even plan that. If we were to plan that, she would have missed. It’s one of those weird things where she’s putting the chairs in, and as I turn around, a damn chair comes flying at my head. I’m just more baffled of what just happened. How did I even get to this position where Trish Stratus is throwing chairs into the ring and nails me with one perfectly. I heard people in the back were like, ‘You know you hit Zoey with the chair, right?’ She was so focused at what she was doing, she didn’t realize it, which is hilarious."

Stark also went on to say that she felt great after the bout, given the fact that it was her first time in the main event.

"I felt great. That was my first main event match and to be able to do it with Becky Lynch in a Falls Count Anywhere match and we bring weapons into it, it was amazing. I never in my life thought I would have that opportunity. To be able to have that is great."
