Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo will defend the gold at NXT No Mercy.
In recent weeks, the tag team division in NXT has been heating up. Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo, The Creed Brothers (Brutus and Julius Creed), and OTM (Lucien Price and Bronco Nima) have set their sights on the NXT Tag Team Championship.
All three teams attended the D'Angelo dinner on the September 26 episode of WWE NXT. Nima and Price made their arrival after they defeated Hank Walker and Tank Ledger earlier in the show. D'Angelo noted that he didn't want it to seem like he was taking it easy, so he decided to take on all of the challengers. All three teams will challenge for the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT No Mercy.

D'Angelo and Lorenzo won the titles by defeating Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) at NXT Great American Bash.
