Fatal 4-Way Intercontinental Championship Match Announced For 5/21 WWE SmackDown

Apollo Crews' Intercontinental Championship will be on the line next Friday night.

On the May 14 episode of WWE SmackDown, Apollo Crews came to the ring and presented his Commander Azeez with the Nigerian Medal of Honor. They were interrupted, however, by Big E who is still looking to regain the Intercontinental Title after Azeez helped Crews win it at WrestleMania 37 in a Nigerian Drum Match.

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens also came out and a melee broke out. Owens stunned everyone but was hit with the Big Ending by Big E. Apollo and Commander Azeez retreated at their first chance, clearly angry that their ceremony had been interrupted.

Backstage, Apollo visited the office of Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville and asked how they were going to deal with the disrespect he was just shown. Sonya told Apollo to cool off or else Adam would book him in a match against Big E, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn. Pearce thought that was a brilliant idea and quickly proclaimed that the title would be defended on May 21 in a Fatal-4 Way Match.
