Rey Fenix is just happy to be able to do what he loves.

Rey Fenix is one of the most highly regarded wrestlers in the sport today as many fans look at his in-ring style as one that stands out amongst the rest. Fenix is one-half of the current AAW and IMPACT World Tag Team Champions alongside his brother Pentagon Jr. The two competitors were recently unveiled to be affiliated with All Elite Wrestling as they attacked The Young Bucks at AEW's 'Double Or Nothing' ticket announcement party

With all that Fenix has done and what is awaiting him, he is just glad to be able to do what he loves and he shared those sentiments while being interviewed by Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated.

“I’ve wrestled before for a sandwich and oranges, I just love to be in the ring,” said Fenix. “This is my life. I’ll be there." [Fenix said about wrestling at Lucha VaVOOM]

Fenix was in the main event of 'ALL IN' and just a few months after that, he squared off with former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega in the main event of Northeast Wrestling's 'Redemption' show. Fenix reflected on both of those matches and shared that it was an honor to be in the ring with the respective competitors of those two matches.

“To be in the main event, with three other Mexicans, and one of them to be Rey Mysterio, that was an incredible experience,” said Fenix. “Plus, I wrestled Kota Ibushi, one of the best wrestlers in the world. The match was incredible. It was a dream. That night was special to my career, and Pentagon and I are one of the best tag teams in the world. I am very happy to do more with All Elite Wrestling.” Fenix continued, “I want to thank everyone for their kind words about my match against Kenny Omega,” said Fenix. “I try to give the best of myself in the ring, and I think we did well.”

There are IMPACT TV tapings in Las Vegas throughout the weekend and Fightful will have spoilers published once the taping[s] conclude.
