- Emily Dole, who was best known as Mt. Fiji in the original Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, passed away yesterday. She had been in poor health for some time, as was documented in the 2012 documentary of GLOW that inspired the Netflix series. She was also a world class shot putter who tried to make it in the Olympics in 1976 and 1980.
- NJPW announced last night that they'll be doing three shows at Budokan Hall on Aug. 10-12, the last three days of the G1 Climax tournament. They haven't ran in that building since 2002 and used to be a stronghold for All Japan during the 1990s.
- They also announced the official attendance for Wrestle Kingdom 12, which was 34,995.
