Fightful Royal Rumble Coverage History: Inside the Royal Rumble, Retro Rumble

I love doing Royal Rumble coverage, but I know there’s a lot of if from the past that maybe you all didn’t see that you could enjoy today. I wanted to give you guys some easy links. At the top of the page is over 200 minutes of Royal Rumble stories. I collected these over the course of several years from the biggest names to be in Rumble matches. Those comprised my Inside the Royal Rumble features.

Inside The Royal Rumble: We spoke to Bret Hart, Tom Prichard, Shane Helms, Shotzi, Court Bauer, Kevin Owens, Jack Swagger, Corey Graves, Matt Striker, Victoria, and others.

Inside the Royal Rumble 2: Fightful speaks to Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, Kurt Angle, Drew McIntyre, Scotty Too Hotty, Chelsea Green, Jeff Jarrett, Dakota Kai, Shotzi, Bushwhackers, Brian Myers, Sin Cara, Mojo Rawley, Mike Bennett, Mandy Rose, Maria, Chuck Palumbo

Then there was Inside the Royal Rumble 3, which was completely different than the others. Instead of a collection of stories, it focused purely on the chaos of Royal Rumble 2022. I was at that show, and the booking surrounding it, and that night was so bad, that talent were speaking to us in droves. Also, the sign caught on fire.

In the early days of Fightful, I went and rewatched every Royal Rumble match from 1988 to 2016, as well as ones that were on Raw, Smackdown, and house shows. In addition, we did podcasts with Shane Helms, Court Bauer, and alternate commentary for the 1995 and 2005 editions.
