Finals Set In 2026 NJPW New Japan Cup
Callum Newman will take on Yuya Uemura in the finals of the 2026 NJPW New Japan Cup.
The finals will take place on Saturday, March 21. In the semifinals on March 20, Newman defeated Shota Umino to advance. The finish saw Newman hit the Prince’s Curse. On the other side of the bracket, Uemura defeated Oleg Boltin in his semifinal contest. He put Boltin away with a Deadbolt and two High Crosses.
After Newman got past Shota, he was confronted by Yuya. Newman promised to murder him, while Yuya said he would stand tall.
During his run to the finals, Newman defeated OSKAR, Hartley Jackson, and Hirooki Goto before besting Shota. Yuya got past Great-O-Khan, Drilla Moloney, and Shingo Takagi before his semifinal showdown against Boltin.
