The finals are set in the New Japan Cup 2022.
Zack Sabre Jr. and Tetsuya Naito punched their tickets to the finals of the tournament, winning their respective semifinal bouts on March 26. The two will clash on March 27 at Osaka-jo Hall.
Zack Sabre Jr picked up a submission victory over Shingo Takagi while Naito bested reigning IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada.
The two men last met in singles competition in the NJPW G1 Climax 2021 tournament. ZSJ picked up the victory and Naito suffered a knee injury in the bout, knocking him out of the tournament completely.
