Finish To Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens On WWE SmackDown Described As ‘Absolutely Blundered’
Details about the finish of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn’s title match.
Headlining the 9/18 Friday Night SmackDown was Sami Zayn defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens.
The conclusion of the bout saw CM Punk get involved and hit Owens with the belt. Zayn went for the cover, and the referee counted three, but he did not call for the bell. Right after, Owens threw his shoulder up.
Zayn then went on to set Owens up for a Helluva Kick to retain his title. WrestleVotes on Fightful Select stated the following about the bout:

The defense against Owens was Zayn’s first since winning the belt for a second time.
