Finn Balor: Bullet Club Was Years Ago, I'd Rather Create Something New

Finn Balor talks possible Bullet Club reunion.

On the Nov. 6 episode of NXT, Finn Balor teased a possible alignment with AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson. Balor came out to help the trio during their six-man tag team match, taking out Matt Riddle. After the attack, Styles threw up the Too Sweet hand signal as Balor pointed at him with the finger guns, a reference to Bullet Club. Balor and The OC were in Bullet Club during their time in NJPW.

Speaking to Corey Graves on After The Bell, Balor was asked about a potential Bullet Club reunion.

"Everybody talks about the Bullet Club reunion. Off-camera, we're still boys. Whether it happens on-screen or not, I don't know. Is it one of those things that it almost nearly happens and then doesn't? Is that cooler? Or will it be the case of when we give it to them, it's 'oh, that was it? I was hoping it would be cooler than that.' The Bullet Club stuff, for me, was six-seven years ago. Trying to go back that far, I'd rather come up with something new and create something new," he said.

Balor recently hinted at forming the Balor Club in NXT, with Authors of Pain mentioned as his possible running mates. You can view his full comments by clicking here.

With Balor back in NXT, there is no shortage of dream matches for the first-ever WWE Universal Champion. When asked who he'd like to get in the ring with, Balor replied, "Someone who I've been in the ring with once before and would love to get into the ring with again is Adam Cole. Whether that will happen or not, I don't know. Johnny Gargano is someone who has really connected with the NXT audience and [is someone] I'd love to get in there with too. Matt Riddle would be an incredible test for me, personally."

Balor is not currently booked for NXT TakeOver: WarGames III. It looked like a possible match with Johnny Gargano could happen, but Gargano has not been cleared after being attacked by Balor. You can find a look at the current TakeOver: WarGames III card by clicking here.
