Finn Balor Comes Out To Old Theme Song, Fails To Defeat CM Punk On WWE Raw
CM Punk prevails over Finn Balor in Belfast.
The January 19 episode of WWE Raw was headlined by a huge contest for the World Heavyweight Championship, as CM Punk put the belt on the line in a match against Finn Balor. This match was made after a confrontation on the January 12 episode of Raw.
Much to the surprise of the fans in attendance, Balor came out to his old theme song, ‘Catch Your Breath’. Balor also used his old mannerisms and entrance style.
The closing sequence of the match had fans in Belfast believing, as Balor nailed Punk with two shotgun dropkicks to the corner. Balor followed that up with a Coup De Grace for a close near fall. Punk went on to nail Balor with almost back-to-back Go To Sleep finishers to win the contest and retain his title.
